Our History and Mission Statement

Shuford Federal Credit Union was formed August 27, 1967. We are a non-profit financial co-operative owned by our members. We are federally-chartered and federally insured and regulated by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the U.S. Government.

We offer a full range of financial products and services to our members and their families.

SFCU is owned by its members and governed by a volunteer, member-elected board of directors.
Our members are the heart of the credit union and they are the only reason we exist.

Helpful Hints:

  • Never give anyone your security details, such as your PIN or full banking password – at most, banks will ask for random characters from them.
  • Never assume an email, text or phone call is authentic, these things are really easy to replicate.
  • Never let yourself be rushed, a genuine organization will never press you for information and will always be patient.
  • Always follow your instincts – if something doesn’t feel right, there’s a good chance something is amiss.
  • Always stay in control – know where your credit and debit cards are at all times, and don’t panic and make a decision you’ll regret, especially if you feel you’re being pressured into it.
